In a surprise release, Bethesda Game Studios has just dropped a new Elder Scrolls game. Although isn’t the one everyone’s been waiting for, Android users can rejoice as The Elder Scrolls: Castles has just launched on Google Play. The popular franchise is expanding its mobile territory with a new strategy game which puts players in control of their own stronghold.

The Elder Scrolls: Castles allows players to build their own dynasty from scratch. Each day in real life is an entire year in the game, during which players must train their followers, find suitable heirs, and maintain order in the kingdom. It is important to keep the subjects satisfied and even the slightest discontent may turn into an assassination plot.

Players are free to customize their castles and design them however they like. From adding and expanding rooms to placing iconic monuments and decorations, anything is possible. As rulers, players can assign the city folk to various workstations that will ensure that the castle survives for centuries.

Besides building a fort, players can also create their own heroes and send them into battle against classic enemies from the Elder Scrolls franchise. Their skills can also be enhanced using epic gear which makes them forces to be reckoned with. Completing battles will award players with valuable loot is imperative to keep the kingdom growing.
